Education and experience

Toronto born soprano Clare Lowe (she/her) is passionate about music and theatre, and has been performing for as long as she can remember. Credits include: various roles in The Opera Show (Mount Allison Music), Romilda in Serse (HSOF), chorus in The Art of Love (COSA Canada), Denise in Problem Child (Mount Allison University), Démon Lucinde and chorus in Armide (HSOF), Kathy in The Hound of the Baskervilles (PTC Sackville), various roles in The Nutcracker (Pia Bouman School for Ballet), Gerda in The Snow Queen (CCOC), children’s chorus in Turandot and La bohème (COC), Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (LOT), Gretl von Trapp in The Sound of Music (Mirvish). Clare has sung with Young Voices Toronto, the Canadian Children’s Opera Company, the Gallery Choir of The Church of St. Mary Magdalene, the choir of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Sackville NB, Mount Allison University's Choral Society and Elliott Chorale., and Chroma Vocal Ensemble. She has had the privilege of performing at the Princess of Wales Theatre, the Four Seasons Centre and the Roy Thompson Hall. From 2014 to September 2021, Clare studied voice with Melanie Conly in Toronto. In May of 2025, she graduated with a Bachelor of Music at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, where she studied voice with Dr. Christina Haldane. She is the proud recipient of several honours and awards from Mt. A., including the Mary Emerency Pickard Bell, and Mary McKean Music Scholarships, the J.E.A. Crake Performance Award in Music (2025) and
Mount Allison University Graduating Music Departmental Award (2025). Clare now studies voice with soprano Claire de Sévigné
